Q: What is the difference between
Third Party & Comprehensive insurance coverage?
A: If you are at fault in an accident or making a claim under your policy,
Comprehensive coverage will allow for repairs to your vehicle and the
other party’s vehicle. Third party coverage will only allow for
repairs to the other party involved in the accident.
Q: What documents do I need to produce when insuring
a vehicle?
A: Valid drivers license, National ID, Proof of ownership, Valuation
Certificate, Road Worthy Certificate (for vehicles ten (10) years and
older).
Q: What is the minimum age for a person seeking to buy
insurance?
A: Twenty-five years (25) with special acceptance to persons between
21-25 (conditions apply)
Q: How long must a person have license in order
to buy insurance?
A: This is usually at the discretion of the company.
Q: Are there additional cost when adding another driver
to my policy?
A: Yes, if the driver is under 25 yrs of age and has had their license
for less than 5 yrs.
Q: When must I produce a Road Worthy Certificate
for my vehicle?
A: When the vehicle reaches ten years old. (see List of Garages below)
Q: Do Credit Union members receive discounted rates?
A: Yes, all Credit Union members are entitled a discount.
Q: Is a monthly payment plan available?
A: Yes, we offer payment plans up to three months (Special conditions
apply)
Q: Do I get a rental vehicle if I am at
fault in an accident?
A: Yes, if the Loss of Use Option was purchased with your new Comprehensive
Policy or at Renewal.
Q: Where can I get an estimate for repairs
in the event of an accident?
A: Any reputable garage.
Q: How long does a police report take
to process?
B: Police reports take approximately three to six months.
Q: When should I submit a claim?
A: Within 48 Hours of the occurrence.
Q: What is the excess/deductible?
A: The first payment you will have to pay towards a claim.
