In an effort to help our adopted school Ann Hill combat the heat, we have purchased fans for the school and this morning presented them to the Principal, Senior Teacher and some of the Students of the school.

We are pleased to have partnered with Equity Insurance and Sentry Insurance Brokers, in providing the insurance for the recently purchased School Bus, for 'The Schoolhouse for Special Needs Inc.' This is a small private school that caters to children and young adults with mild to moderate learning difficulties.

The staff association of Co-operators General came up with the idea to give back to the Cancer Society due to the annual walk being cancelled. This idea was then put to the staff, who donated nonperishable items during the period October- November. Co-operators General Insurance Company Ltd. presented an undisclosed amount of shopping vouchers to The Household Mitigation Unit of the Prime Minister?s Office, various school groups and the needy persons in their spheres.During the presentation held at the company?s Head Office in Upper Collymore Rock, General Manager of the company Anton Lovell said that they were aware of the difficulties persons are facing with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and believed that as a community minded company, they thought it would be a good gesture to assist those most in need. Presentations were made to Mr. Corey Lane, Head of the Household Mitigation Unit, Principal of the Ann Hill School, Emelda Belle and members of the Deighton Griffith School`s Panthers breakfast club. Each recipient was appreciative of the donation and thanked the company for their support.

Marketing Manager Cheryl Forde and Business Development & Marketing Officer Sabrina Howard, along with Ashley Lashley of Model Patrol and Davina Bennett participated in a tree planting initiative on Co-operators compound, to tie in with Government?s ?National Tree Planting Project? where the aim is to plant 1 million fruit and shade trees by the end of 2020.

The newly appointed West Indies Captain Mr. Jason Holder was invited by the company to address the young cricketers of the St. Catherine's Cricket Club. Mr. Holder was able to address the young cricketers and offer words of encouragement, motivation and support to them.
